Light had always attempted to educate and impress Misa with his extensive knowledge on matters of coition, a subject of taboo and otherwise only fit for cooler kids like himself. Perhaps with this subtle gesture, she'd be so taken with Light that she'd finally agree to cooperate and give him L's real name.

Alas, L had managed to chomp down another plastic scone from Misa's tea set display and was having a bad case of diarrhea; hogging most of the attention from Light.

Another reason to want his sweet-toothed companion dead.
