Sorry for the repost; I just realized how crammed up my previous journal entry was. Clearly, I was too excited to post at the time that I failed to consider the space. My apologies!

1. Learning from Super Saiyans
I learned how to draw proper human figures when I was about 7yrs old through copying pictures from my Dragon Ball Z action figure boxes.
You could say that this was my big dip into adapting anime in my drawing style to begin with, despite having been introduced to art from an early age through my mom. (She helped me through my first oil on canvas painting of a red house surrounded by bushes when I was around 4)
When I was in 1st-2nd grade, I gained a bit of respect from my classmates in that I was the only girl who in class who could draw Son Gokou in the proper proportions. Otherwise, some girls would ask me to draw Trunks because clearly, he was the hunky bishounen of the show next to Android 17.
In retrospect, I think I only realized I had any real talent in art when I managed to refine my skill in drawing the characters. I no longer draw much of Dragon Ball but I must give credit to Akira Toriyama for fundamentally shaping my career in art.
And what is mentioning DBZ without pictures of Vegeta?

His family man powers are OVER 300,000.

2. SO! I hear I'm almost famous
Haha, no not really. But I did pick up some interesting trivia about my old man: (which technically means, it concerns me too)
Apparently, my grandfather was the only Filipino who interviewed Albert Einstein when he was a college student in the States.
Moreover, my great, great grand uncle is apparently, Julian Felipe - the fellow responsible for composing the Marcha Nacional which is today known as the Philippine National Anthem.
I was quite surprised and intrigued myself when I found that out. As to how much this is true, I don't know. If it isn't, I give my dad points for the lulz. If it is...I still give him points for the lulz.
Hahaha, my apologies, I have respect for the aforementioned men above, but as in the case of my father, anyone can tell me I'm Madonna's sister's niece twice removed for all I care. It just won't change the fact that I'm still made of a silly piece of crazy and that I still need to work my ass off to make a living and build my own artistic reputation from scratch just like everyone else.
I admit, it's a pretty cool story to tell my grandkids someday though
3. Sue me, I'm a momma's girl!
Okay, so my friends know this is pretty obvious. But other than that, I find I have a natural inclination to follow my mom around like a loyal house cat. She has always been responsible for expanding mine and my brother's sense of culture and perspective about things, and for that, we are luckiest to have her.
It's even a running joke in the family that if she were to pass on, I'd be the first to drop dead by instinct. Okay, nuff of the morbidity. Even as she's working abroad and I've acquired a more evolved sense of responsibility, I still need to call her up and ask where she hid the plastic wrap, the painting supplies, etc.
Then when she's back home, I'm my most relaxed when she takes me out to places to shop or look around - not necessarily for clothes, mind you. I get perfectly amused when we visit the home&lifestyle stores. I once got very excited looking at fancy refrigerators for sale. LOL. Oddly enough, shopping With others or by myself, I tend to get a bit overwhelmed and conscious about shiny stores in malls, so I just make like a good soldier, get in and get out after fulfilling my list of things to buy.
4. Hello, cassette tape collection
Before the popular emergence of cds, mp3s, internet downloads, and the like, I used to carry my casette player when I was a little girl and record all the songs, dialogue, and commercial themes of the shows I watched on tv. I'd even record music from video games because I liked them.
It was poorly done, of course, sometimes I'd tape over the ends of the previous recording or because of my hasty setups to catch the right moment, I'd end up with warped, fast-paced chipmunk versions of the actual song tempos. I still have 2 of the old tapes I from before, actually, but then I don't have a casette player on hand to listen to them.
Sure, when you're 5yrs old, you don't exactly know that this was all illegal, then again, the sheer craptastic quality of my recordings was probably punishment enough.

5. Fruit-tooth and Meat-tooth
Pepper steaks (medium done) with peppered mashed potatoes, rack of lamb, beef kabab with couscous, beef jerky, bacon, chorizo and other yummy, meaty things are just
Jin and Kat can testify to all that, btw. In fact, they share in the same love for it. We often like to tempt Erving ~Huzafan back to the dark side what with his vegan diet.
I also LOVE fruits. From strawberries, to mangostene, to mangoes, watermelons, grapes, and apples, you name it. I also don't mind the smell of durian although I don't eat it. Weird.
On the offset; however, I'm not much into sweets. I love chocolate and cheesecakes but otherwise, I'm not so big on most pastries. I have my moments though, like the other day, Fran was happily eating a waffle smothered in peanut butter and syrup. Oh damn, it was so good....now I think I just made myself hungry. T__T WRY?!?!
6. I kill roaches with alcohol
I hate roaches. They're creepy, disgusting, and dirty. I hate them so much, I can't whack them with slippers or shoes for fear of spreading germs. LOL.
Then I discovered that dousing them with rubbing alcohol kills them. Unfortunately, alcohol straight from the bottle was just plain wasteful especially with my terrible aim, so I got myself a cheap spray bottle to solve the waste problem.
It's quite effective as hell, and I need not worry about pesticide fumes. Francis researched on it and learned that alcohol actually suffocates the roaches - but I like to think that since alcohol disinfects, it vaporizes their very germ-infested bodies.
7. Tripping out while driving
Mom made it a point that when I'd gotten into college, I'd have to able to drive myself to school. Big nifty step, actually. I drive manual and it's funny how some people get awed by that seeing that I'm such a petite girl. It was even funnier when I used to drive my mom's old Pajero because I'd look like I was scrambling down this huge mech of a vehicle.
I'm quite slow to experiencing road rage as I seem to get lost in random thought with or without music on. When I was starting out, I'd listen to the Evangelion soundtrack and pretend I was manning the Unit-00.

These days, I listen to a whole playlist of Minus the Bear songs. I love the hyped up buzz from their music and that guitarist of theirs has skill that is too godly.
Anyway, back to driving, I'm also quite terrible with directions (so I keep a map on hand all the time) and I still have trouble with parallel parking. So, despite the initial fascination people have with my driving manual, I think I'm really quite average with it. *shrugs*
8. I have a paper fetish
Seriously. You can leave me in a bookstore or an art supplies store with the prettiest paper and I'll just want to splurge my money on everything nice I see. To be more specific, I LOVE notebooks, sketchpads, and journals that have lovely paper texture and over-all aesthetic quality.
The difference between collecting novels, picture books, and notebooks is that you can only come up with so many excuses to buy writing/drawing paper, so it's quite terrible when I buy notebooks just for the heck of it. I also tend to get myself a nice, nifty pen or pencil along with every paper purchase since having something nice to write with makes the experience more satisfying.
That being said, ever since I first went to Singapore a few years back, I just fell in love with Muji, this dinky Japanese store with EVERYTHING. I get stuck standing in front of the notebook section trying to decide what I want to buy (even though I don't need to).

CHRONOTEBOOK! *droolies*
It's a daily planner from MUJI without grids or columns. Just 2 circles per spread representing the AM/PM of analog clocks. The user is able to write his/her schedule around the circles according to how he/she prefers, making it more flexible and easier to accomplish tasks with.
Devious Comments
I'll splurge on like ten notebooks and write in them halfway
b4 deciding the other notebooks I bought are prettier than the one I'm writting in.

空のそれの部分で動く歌のボートに関する思考各自。
Our personalities are similar in some ways, what with the following your mom around and having meat cravings.
My friends make fun of me because every so often I'll just get a big urge to eat meat and I'll search through their entire fridge to find something, haha
I also laughed out loud at you originally driving to the Evangelion soundtrack. I never even thought about pretending I was starting up an awesome battling system rather then a crappy little car, lol

tokneneng!
There are so many, and the brown colour is so pretty ~ it's so hard to not buy it all...
That..
was a long update, that really didnt have that much of a point, but was still pleasing to read.
I'm almost ashamed to admit I giggled like a child at least once -_- At what you say? Oh, well, you'll just have to guess.
Hehe! Peace an cheese!
AT hindi lang si Gokou, si Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, at Piccolo, at Goten pa!
Haha, di ko na nga lang pinansin yung ibang characters kasi...onti lang yung action figures ko noon. So di ako nakapag-practice sa iba. LOL.

It's because of fear that we can become stronger than what we were.
Sometimes I venture out to the other sections too. I almost bought an umbrella, a bonnet and some curious-looking cds in brown packaging labeled as Soundtrack something...
LOL.
